Cooperation Canada’s

Hill Day

Advancing Canada’s Global Leadership—Together

Each year during International Development Week, Cooperation Canada and its members gather on Parliament Hill for Hill Day—a coordinated effort to engage federal decision-makers on the importance of Canada’s role in international cooperation.

Through meetings with Members of Parliament, Senators, and political staff from all major parties, Hill Day creates space for meaningful dialogue on how Canada can contribute to a more just, sustainable, and inclusive world.

A Collective Voice on Parliament Hill

Hill Day brings the sector together to speak with a shared, coordinated voice at a key moment during International Development Week, which lands on the first week of February each year.

In 2026, Cooperation Canada members met with dozens of Members of Parliament, Senators and political staff advancing common priorities through clear, consistent messaging. Conversations focused on strengthening Canada’s global engagement, protecting Official Development Assistance and reinforcing the importance of principled international cooperation.

Beyond the meetings themselves, Hill Day helps build lasting relationships and momentum. It connects global issues to Canadian priorities and ensures the sector’s voice continues to shape policy discussions well beyond a single day on the Hill.
