Cooperation Canada Awards

Celebrating Leadership, Innovation and Impact in International Cooperation

The Cooperation Canada Awards recognize excellence and leadership in the field of international cooperation—celebrating individuals and organizations who are driving meaningful change in Canada and around the world.

Presented annually during International Development Week, the Awards shine a spotlight on the people and initiatives advancing equity, inclusion, and sustainable development across the sector.

A Celebration of Impact

Each year, the Awards bring the sector together to recognize outstanding contributions and share stories of impact.

In 2026, Cooperation Canada honoured Frédérique (Fred) Chabot, Dr. Lauryn Oates and The SecDev Foundation for work advancing gender equality, civic action, innovation and democratic values across the sector. You can watch the ceremony here!

The celebration highlighted not only individual and organizational achievements, but also the collective progress being made through collaboration, courage and shared commitment.
