Equitable Partnerships through Triangular Co-operation

Equitable Partnerships through Triangular Co-operation

CCIC partnered with Global Affairs Canada to understand how Canadian civil society organizations are engaging in triangular co-operation. Over late 2019 and early 2020, CCIC worked to raise awareness among Canadian CSOs about the new definition of triangular co-operation, identified and documented related civil society experiences and consulted Canadian CSOs on key enabling factors for engaging in effective triangular co-operation. The initiative culminated in a synthesis report of key findings and a set of 16 short, 2-3 page profiles for each project examined under the initiative.”

Daring to risk and fail – Building an innovation agenda in Canada’s global development and humanitarian community

Daring to risk and fail – Building an innovation agenda in Canada’s global development and humanitarian community

Is the practice of innovation an essential way forward for international development and humanitarian organizations? How do we test out radical ideas when there is so much at stake? And what does ‘innovation’ actually mean?

The intent of the paper is to help give shape to how CCIC might learn from the experience of these platforms as it shapes its own innovation agenda and works to implement one of three core CCIC strategic directions for 2018-23: Inspire and support the growth of a more relevant, responsive and effective global development and humanitarian assistance sector that, through a broad range of innovations, can create sustainable impact and change in collaboration with our partners.

Training Manual – Implementing a Human Rights -Based Approach (CCIC and Equitas)

This manual was adapted from Integrating HRBA and Equitable Partnerships into Development Programming: Operationalizing the Istanbul Principles.

It provides all the resources you need to run a workshop on integrating a human rights-based approach (HRBA) into your programming.

By the end of the training participants should be able to:

  1. better integrate the elements of HRBA into the programs and projects of their organizations;
  2. share knowledge with peers and partners on how to integrate a HRBA .
