Relevant salary data can help. Cooperation Canada’s Compensation Survey opens October 30, 2026, inviting organizations across Canada to contribute to a shared resource for more informed compensation decisions. Over the past year, our Human Resources Working Group has explored options to make compensation benchmarking more relevant and affordable for our community. Developed with BenchMarket, this 2026–2027 pilot features customized job families and survey questions shaped by sector feedback. Participation is open to both Cooperation Canada members and non-members based in Canada, with pricing scaled to organization size. Participating organizations will receive salary benchmarking results by job family and level, alongside a report on HR practices, including wellness programs and working arrangements. They will also receive results from BenchMarket’s broader not-for-profit compensation survey, NFPay, providing additional context for comparing compensation. These insights can help organizations strengthen recruitment and retention, plan budgets and make informed decisions about how they support their people. The more organizations participate, the more useful the findings will be for our community. To take part, organizations purchase the survey through BenchMarket, submit salary information using an Excel template and complete an HR practices questionnaire. BenchMarket provides support with matching roles, including positions that combine several responsibilities. Access to the results requires submitting data. Confidentiality is central to the process: BenchMarket stores raw submissions on its secure server, and neither Cooperation Canada staff nor other participants receive raw data. No personal employee identifiers are required. Submit your organization’s data by December 1, 2026. Results are planned for January 25, 2027. Visit BenchMarket.ca to purchase the survey and begin participating. For submission support, contact help@benchmarket.ca. Share This Article
