On August 23, 2019, the Government of Canada announced the full membership of the Advisory Committee on the Charitable Sector (ACCS). Many members of this committee are well known individuals of the charitable sector. CCIC welcomes this announcement and looks forward to learning more about the important work they will do.
Formed in response to the recommendations of the Consultation Panel on the Political Activities of Charities, and the Social Innovation and Social Finance Co-Creation Steering Group, the ACCS is co-chaired by the charitable sector and the Canada Revenue Agency and will provide advice to the Government on important and emerging issues facing the sector.
