The Progressing National SDG Implementation report provides an annual independent analysis of reporting by United Nations Member States to the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF). Supported by a coalition of civil society organizations from around the world and prepared by Wangu Mwangi, the report examines the current status of 2030 Agenda implementation, unpacks trends in reporting and identifies good practice.
This year’s edition, building on the rich insights from previous reports since 2017, focuses on evaluating the delivery of the 2030 Agenda in a turbulent global context. Key areas of assessment include governance, civil society participation, and the principle of Leaving No One Behind, bringing together official Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) with independent analysis from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
The Launch event will feature a presentation of overall trends and key case studies from national CSO coalitions from 2024.
It will also look ahead to the High Level Political Forum in 2025
