Exploring Innovative Policy Solutions to Address the Global Learning Crisis
November 5 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm EST
Save the Children Canada and the Comparative International Development Education Centre @OISE, University of Toronto are jointly hosting a special session in the CIDEC Seminar Series, focusing on education policy responses to the global COVID-19 education crisis.
In early April, over 1.6 billion learners were out of school. For the first time in human history, an entire generation has had their education disrupted. Save the Children’s Save our Education report showed that the poorest and most marginalised children are being hit the hardest by the pandemic. Millions of children do not have access to the internet or devices needed to access distance learning and innovative approaches to delivering quality education to all are needed now more than ever.
Join us for an engaging virtual seminar bringing together education practitioners, advocates and thought leaders to explore what are the innovative policy solutions needed to address the global learning crisis brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Prachi Srivastava and Prof. Karen Mundy will discuss innovative policy solutions to the education crisis based on their work in global forums.
