A special meeting of members will be held on January 23, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm ET. The purpose of the meeting will be to elect four new Directors and ratify a revised Code of Ethics, which incorporates commitments to Indigenous ethics, rights and reconciliation, as well as other important updates.
Board Composition Priorities
Cooperation Canada is a signatory to Canada’s 50-30 Challenge, which aims for gender parity (50%) and significant representation (30%) of equity-deserving groups within boards and senior management across Canada. In line with this commitment, we welcome individuals who reflect the diversity of Canadian society, including those who identify as Racialized, Black, Indigenous, People of Colour, persons with disabilities, 2SLGBTQ+ individuals, and other equity-deserving groups.
In addition to ensuring the Board represents a broad cross-section of the diversity of people in Canada and the international cooperation sector, the Cooperation Canada Board has reviewed the current Board composition, Cooperation Canada’s Board Diversity Policy and the organization’s evolving needs.
