Managing Incidents of Sexual Violence Training – HRN

This is a specific training on the Management of Incidents of Sexual Violence aimed at providing any NGO Staff with Security Management Responsibilities essential knowledge on how to handle such incidents. The one day in-person training will cover: Gender and Diversity issues, Tackling the enabling environment, Bystanders and Good practices in prevention and response.

    In-person on Ottawa, exact locaiton to be confirmed

  • Cost of the training 

    Non-members: $ 400

    (Payable once registration is confirmed by HRN, through electronic transfer. A separate email with a link for the payment wil be sent once registration is confirmed.

    Training language 

    The training wil be provided in English only. However the training material can be provided in French if requested.

    Would the number of people requesting a French training at registration (see questions below), RIH may offer the training in French at a later date to a separate cohort.


    Number of participants 

    Minimum: 12 participants

    Maximum: 15 participants

    Please note that

    – If the minimum number of participants registered is not reached, the training may be cancelled or postponed.

    – If the maximum number of people is exceeded, HRN may:

    – Limit the number of people registered by organization.

    – Or create a second cohort at a later date.


  • Target audience

    – All senior NGO staff with security management responsibilities.

    – Priority will be given to HRN members, but the training is also opened to any NGO and individuals involved or interested in development and humanitarian work.
