Measuring gender equality in the innovation space is both new and complex. Informed by our findings and learnings as a program, the Fund for Innovation and Transformation (FIT) developed the Gender Equality Framework for Innovation (GEFI) to evaluate how testing innovative solutions allowed 52 FIT-funded SMOs and their partners in the Global South to advance gender equality and empower women and girls in 33 countries.
